Equipment Technician

POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position includes the upkeep, repair, setup/breakdown, cleaning and inventory of manufacturing equipment. Other duties include timely response to troubleshoot and recover production lines, tool and equipment inventory tracking and auditing, maintenance shop organization, addressing inefficiencies and/or developing production lines. Cross-departmental duties may be required of all Herbal Ingenuity employees.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Machine Maintenance Duties:

• Clean, setup and verify function of production line equipment
• Breakdown and service equipment between production runs
• Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
• Oversee and participate in routine machine maintenance, repairs, and installation activities
• Make recommendations for improving machine safety and efficiency
• Carry out inspections of the facilities and equipment to identify and resolve issues
• Develop new machine lines and improve current ones as requested
• Perform preventative maintenance procedures
• Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping machines and workstation neat.
• Follow safety and operation procedures, rules and regulations; ensure all machine work is conducted safely
• Other duties as it relates to this function

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience as maintenance technician or other similar role
• Working knowledge of facilities’ machines and equipment
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Ability to work autonomously in an organized fashion
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
• Experience using hand and electrical tools
• Physical stamina and strength

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge machinery and mechanical aptitude
• Self-motivated, eager to learn

• Maintenance Supervisor
• Operations Manager

Work Environment: While performing the duties of the job, the incumbent is exposed to normal machine shop areas and manufacturing floor areas.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
