What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Supervisor/Delivery Coordinator position at Hercules Industries?
The position of Warehouse Supervisor/Delivery Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing of product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion. The Warehouse Supervisor/Delivery Coordinator will help the department run smoothly and efficiently by reviewing all work done by other warehouse workers before the product leaves the facility. $23.00-$26.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Check all trucks leaving the facility to verify they are correct.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot inventory corrections within the Warehouse Management Software.
- Verify correct equipment handling (furnaces, condensers and coils).
- Oversees proper care of the Loading Equipment (Forklifts, Wave-pickers, Pallet-jacks, etc.).
- Supervise completion of daily inspections on Loading Equipment.
- Accurately receives material coming into the facility and unloads trucks in a prompt manner.
- Verifies the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing lists and purchase orders.
- Stocks materials on shelves in designated area when and if needed.
- Assembles and fills orders to be shipped from stock and places orders on pallets, shelves or Hercules trucks. Verifies quantities and items being shipped against the customer order ticket. Marks material with identifying information using appropriate method.
- Assists customers in loading their orders.
- Prepares parcels for shipping or mailing.
- Excellent attendance record required.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to transport, gather, distribute and stock material in a safe, efficient, manner.
- Support and coordinate delivery activities.
- Inspecting merchandise prior to loading and delivery.
- Keep warehouse organized and orderly at all times.
- Troubleshooting issues and following up with customers to ensure the correct merchandise is delivered on-time and to the correct location.

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with Warehouse Inventory Management Software; Harris Data 5.0 and Latitude WMS knowledge desired.
- Experience using a RF Terminal in a warehouse environment required.
- General knowledge of warehouse procedures and ability to operate material handling equipment in a safe manner.
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers to aid in satisfying customer requirements.
- Keen attention to detail is required and ability to meet deadlines.
- Organization and time management skills, detail oriented, able to prioritize in multi-tasking environment and ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
- A thorough knowledge of warehousing principles, practices and procedures is required.
- Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to write and read routine reports or job orders. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees within the organization. Ability to speak, read and hear English
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a documents and instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Ability to organize and prioritize job projects and requirements.
ATTENDANCE DEMANDS: Attendance is required Monday through Friday within normal business hours as established by the Branch Manager/Warehouse Manager. Employee may be required to work overtime.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to grasp and lift and to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb and balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific visual abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- Exposure to hot and cold temperatures. Employee would be working both inside and outside and on elevated balconies.
