Herd Law Firm, PLLC is seeking a full-time Personal Injury and Maritime Paralegal to join our plaintiffs’ contingency-practice located on the Northwest edge of Houston.
The duties of our paralegals vary as a result of the small firm environment. Responsibilities may include case preparation, which consists of preparing subpoenas, motions, and notices. The paralegal also maintains communication with clients and witnesses during the preparation of the cases, as well as coordinator of such witnesses for trial. The paralegal will need to conduct legal research, retrieve medical records, and complete filings with the courts.

Qualifications:
- Paralegal Program Completion/Certification
- Paralegal Experience desired, and pay is dependent on relevant experience
Should be familiar with Westlaw, Lexis / Nexus, Public Data, Texas SOS, E-file Texas, Pro-Doc, excel, Nitro / Adobe, Microsoft Office (all system technologies), and filings with State and Federal Courts.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30-5. (Some weekends or extended hours may be required around trial times)
Location: We are located on the Northwest edge of Houston, off of 249/Tomball Parkway and Cypresswood Drive.
This is an in-person position. Background check in accordance with local/state laws.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $32.00 per hour
