We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our team. As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design software. You will work closely with engineers and architects to translate their concepts into accurate and precise drawings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in CAD and a passion for design.

Duties:
- Create detailed 2D and 3D models using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MicroStation
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and specifications
- Develop technical drawings, schematics, and layouts based on project needs
- Conduct thorough reviews of drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards
- Perform modifications and revisions to existing drawings as necessary
- Generate bills of materials for construction projects
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports and presentations
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CAD technology

Qualifications:
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MicroStation, and Sketchup
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and techniques
- Experience working with Civil 3D for civil engineering projects is highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Associate degree or certification in drafting or a related field is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Morning shift

Work setting:

  • In-person

  • Monticello, NY: Relocate before starting work (Required)
