What's the role?

Enable powerful location-related capabilities in your applications and across your business, with our development tools, data and content:

• Leading and managing several teams in engineering, quality, design and product management & ownership with overall team size of around 90 people (70 internal, 20 external), incl. 8 direct reports
• Coordinate and steer with the managers and leaders the development and architecture of the SDKs, make profound technical decisions with the team and work with product and engineering on the planning for the upcoming features
• Establishing BUs goals and objectives, aligned with corporate and shareholder goals, both short-term and long-term
• Setting OKRs with the teams, aligned with the business and company goals and establish processes with the team leads to monitor and achieve these
• Developing BUs business plans and strategies in coordination with Locattion Services management team and team leads
• Developing budget plans and maintaining and monitor these to make sure that the business operates efficiently from a financial perspective
• Overseeing financial performance, investments and other product ventures, ensuring that the BU continues to make profits and grow company’s wealth
• Delegating responsibilities and supervising business and technical leaders and managers and providing guidance and motivation to all BU members to drive maximum performance
• Directing the activities of the business/product line/product while ensuring bottom-line profitability
• Providing strategic advice to the MT ensuring they will have accurate view of the market and the product lines future, plan cost-effective business strategies and develop new ideas based on customer needs, market and industry
• Analyzing problematic situations and occurrences and providing solutions to ensure BU’s future and growth
• Communicating and maintaining trust relationships with customers, stakeholders and business partners on technical and business leve
• Establishing relationships with (external) industry experts, thought leadership, through public seminars, conferences and professional networking

Who are you?

Requirements:

• Over 8 years of proven experience as a business unit leader or other senior managerial position
• Deep experience in object-oriented software development
• Strong practical experience with mobile engineering and at least two of the SDK relevant programming languages ( C , Java, Kotlin, Swift, Dart) and platforms (Android, iOS, Flutter, Linux)
• Experience with RESTful web services and their integration with mobile OSs
• Experience in managing teams for mobile testing (automated and manual). Previous hands-on experience is a plus
• Experience in managing DevOps in a mobile setup (e.g. build pipelines, device clouds, Jenkins, GitLab). Previous hands-on experience is a plus
• Practical experience with agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban
• Demonstrable experience in developing and establishing business goals, plans and strategies
• Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the product line and Location Services business
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work under pressure
