HERFF JONES, Wax Tree-Up Operator – Warwick, RI YOUR OPPORTUNITY: The Herff Jones Operations team, based in Warwick, RI is looking for a Wax Tree-Up Operator to join our team. HERE'S HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT: Reporting to the Wax Room Manager, the Tree-Up Operator is responsible for preparing injected wax and plastic pieces and rings for investing and casting. At Herff Jones we may have been around for 100 years, but we still have the mentality of a scrappy startup. For you, that means your job may grow and change over time. But don’t worry, we would never ask an employee to take on an assignment they didn’t already have the right skill sets they needed to succeed. As we see it for right now, however, here are the challenges that we want you to tackle: · Receive pieces from wax/plastic injection or sizing. · Receive pieces from 3D print · Prep 3D for alcohol bath · Sort pieces by alloy quality and manufacturing week · Select appropriate base and wax spue · Trim Pieces to fit. · Attach pieces to the wax tree using wax needle. · Place ID tag on top of tree and record all precious trees on daily log · Weigh the tree and base on scale and record in computer. · Group together the shop copies for the tree and label the top copy with the tree number. · Complete all daily logs for gold and Ultrium and bring to vault WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE: 1 -2 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing setting is preferred, in addition to meeting the following requirements: · Education / Certifications Required – high school diploma or equivalent preferred. · Other – Must be able to read and understand order and specifications, which are written in English.
