Heritage Deli Provisions is an authorized Local Purveyor for Boar's Head Brand premium meats and cheeses. We service fine food establishments in the Twin Cities metro area.

Overview:

The Deli Program Trainer / Account Mgr is responsible for presenting, sampling and educating on Boar’s Head Brand delicatessen products to consumers and our customers in local retail stores. Customers are located throughout the Twin Cities Metro Area. This remote position is for the Rochester Metro area.

This position is ideal for someone looking for steady, intentional work in a food/retail environment. We have full time positions which offer full benefits and part time positions which offer flexible scheduling. Training is provided for the essential functions listed below.

Essential Functions:

Selling Events 15% time

  • Build awareness of Boar’s Head Brand premium delicatessen products by engaging consumers through product sampling
  • Actively promote Boar’s Head Brand products by educating consumers on flavor, nutritional information, and complimentary products
  • Possess a positive, energetic, and serving attitude
  • Complete additional activities or special projects as assigned
  • Complete assigned app-based reporting

Brand Merchandising 15% time

  • Build impactful displays in store revolving around our marketing plan
  • Follow retailer Plan-O-Grams
  • Assist in delivery pack outs by building focus displays
  • Ensure displays are orderly, clean and sanitary
  • Complete assigned app-based reporting

Program Training & Coaching 35% time

  • Lead by example in counter service model
  • Coach behind the counter on product handling and attributes
  • Educate and provide support for our retail partners to fully execute our offered programs
  • Assist the Lead Training Mgr on special projects as needed
  • Provide training reports

Account Managing 35% time

  • Take stock of all products in store, monitoring sell by dates and condition of stock
  • Generate purchase orders to be delivered to established retail customers
  • Meet with accounts weekly on KPI's and maintain relationships
  • Report in to Lead Sales Mgr weekly and submit resepctive reports
  • Work with our Operations and Sales team to be a continued resource for our established customers

Minimum Requirements

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 Deli or Foodersevice Management experience preferred
  • Keep work area neat and clean; exhibit proper food safety and sanitation practices at all times
  • Must have own transportation, valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel to different retail locations within assigned area
  • Ability to transport and set-up a folding table, utensils, platters, etc.
  • Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for a minimum of 4 hours at a time before resting during the 8-hour shifts
  • Ability to bend, twist, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • Ability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs.; push or pull objects up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions

  • Must have an internet enabled cell phone
  • Brand Training and Sanitation Certification Requirements (Will provide)
  • Customer Service and engagement
  • Deli Operations including, but not limited to:
  • Slicer use, proper technique, maintenance and cleaning
  • Deli scale operation
  • Product handling and proper sanitation procedures

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Culinary: 1 year (Preferred)
  • B2B sales: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Rochester, MN: Relocate before starting work (Required)
