What are the responsibilities and job description for the On-Site Coordinator position at Heritage Environmental Services?
Primary Purpose
Maintain compliance for client by ensuring all RCRA and DOT regulations are met. Provide waste management and disposal through On-site facility.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Sample collection, packing and delivery. Profiling (all aspects, except approval). Consolidating profiles into generic profiles.
- Provide completed manifests for Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste.
- Maintain the hazardous waste and non-hazardous inventory.
- Perform and document the daily and weekly inspections of the 90 days areas. Perform weekly inspections of hazardous waste accumulation areas. Track all satellite accumulation areas.
- Prepare and coordinate the hazardous and non-hazardous waste shipments.
- Maintain the inventory for waste tankers and manifest preparation for tankers. Maintain the inventory of hazardous and non-hazardous (non bulk wastes) and Manifest preparation.
- Perform field inspection to assurance compliance.
- Monitor waste generation, document and report trends on waste generation. Create annual reports documenting waste generation.
- Container labeling and/or label verification for hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Coordination of special projects including those with third party resources.
- Provide monthly reports of services provided in format requested.
- Performing Lab packs including segregation of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous materials.
- Maintain required packaging, containers, etc. and assure compatibility with onsite waste materials and equipment.

Education: 4 year college degree in Science/Management related field.
Experience: At least one year hazardous waste management industry, or environmental compliance.
Knowledge and Abilities: This is a safety sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function. Thorough knowledge of federal, commonwealth, and local industry related regulations including RCRA, TSCA, and DOT. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate was internal and external contacts. Adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office, strong business writing skills, must be able to work independent without direct company supervision. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
