Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at the Heritage Inn. As the Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring seamless guest experiences and maintaining high standards of service excellence.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk management, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage services.
2. Supervise and mentor hotel staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and guest satisfaction.
3. Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency, productivity, and overall guest experience.
4. Monitor hotel performance metrics and financial indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
5. Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and industry regulations to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
6. Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
7. Assist in managing reservations and room inventory to maximize occupancy and revenue.
8. Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of hotel staff, fostering a positive work environment and culture of teamwork.
9. Maintain effective communication channels with team members, management, and other departments to facilitate smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
10. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in hotel management or a similar role, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
