POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides leadership and guidance to the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable departments. Actively develops team to improve abilities and cross training. Leads and drives efficiencies in the area utilizing information technology and other tools. Provides KPI and reporting packages relating to receivables and payables. Assists with reporting needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee day-to-day functions and strategic goals of accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Manage credit for new and current customer accounts
- Develop and implement guidelines for proper handling and coding of invoices to maintain general ledger expense accounts, inventory records, and to support FP&A reporting needs
- Assist in developing models and related assumptions that drive departmental improvements
- Actively evaluate, communicate, and implement process improvements
- Perform account reconciliations and journal entries as assigned
- Assist in annual audit
- Assist in annual budgeting process
- Provide KPI and reporting packages relating to receivables and payables
- Ensure accuracy of subledger in relation to the general ledger
- Monitor the control environment relating to receivables and payables
- Support close process (accuracy and timeliness)
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to carry out each of the essential duties satisfactorily. Must have the ability to problem solve. Be able to operate as a manager but dig into to details to help staff problem solve as necessary. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting. 3 years in accounting and experience leading and developing a team. Proficient with excel.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Noise level in the work environment is normally moderate but occasionally high. Typically the duties are performed indoors, during the day and some overtime may be required. Occasional travel may be required.
