Requirements
Responsibilities
The Business Manager is responsible for day to day operation of the practice with guidance and oversight from practice physician(s).
Staffing - Screen & interview candidates for job openings, provide training and educational material for staff, and oversee overall staff performance.
Corporate Point of Contact - The Business Manager will act as liaison between the practice and HerMD Corporate (Human Resources, Marketing, Coding and Provider Education and Compliance, Applications Support (PM), Billing, Operations, Finance, Information Systems, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Chief Officers.
Employee Management - Responsible for creating non-clinical staff schedules; provides feedback to staff to enhance work processes and promote employee understanding; supervises payroll function.
Operations - Establishing, updating, and implementing practice goals and objectives consistent with the practice physician and Unity’s directives.
Community Outreach and Business Development - Manage community relationships and field marketing efforts, generate new leads within the market, manage events within the practice and community
Communication - The Business Manager will develop and support a clear communication plan to ensure the timely and effective flow of information and resolution of patient concerns and complaints (with assistance from the Compliance division, as needed).
Patient Relations - The Business Manager will handle patient complaints and concerns, maintain updated medical records of patients and ensure legal obligations are met at all times.
Compliance - Administration of Unity and Practice Policies, Procedures and Protocols.
Expense Management - Manage practice P&L
Revenue Management - Responsible for hitting practice goals with respect to revenue, operating income, and capacity / utilizationUndertakes other duties and special projects, as assigned.
Qualifications
Proven experience working in a managerial position in a clinical or medical setting
Strong understanding of healthcare administration and management
Experience with administrative software for healthcare systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Excellent customer service with a client focus
Flexible to work weekends and overtime where required
Able to travel to meetings and to attend conferences as necessary
Able to sit, stand and move around for long hours at a time
