Clerical

Statement of Position:

A clerk provides general assistance and office support to staff and managers under the administrative support assistance from the staff.

Reports To: Office Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone, take message, and greet visitors warmly.
  • Reroute calls to appropriate people and schedule appointments or meetings.
  • Assist in filing duties.
  • Maintain filing system.
  • Perform and help with basic bookkeeping duties.
  • Help organize office activities and meetings.
  • Prepare coffee and water for staff.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail (Insert bills in envelopes and mail).
  • Run errands.
  • Post and maintain up to date company policies around the office.
  • Assist in office management and organization procedures.
  • Operate office machines, such as copiers, scanners, voice mail systems and computers etc.
  • Help retrieve files for personnel.
  • Report malfunctioning office equipment.
  • Handle travel arrangements and expense reports for staff.
  • Post work schedules.
  • Perform data entry.
  • Monitor and restock supply closet with printing paper, ink, pens, paper clips, file folders, etc. Report to office manager when there are shortages.
  • Responsibilities include data entry, filing and invoicing, and other general admin tasks
  • Perform other office duties as assigned.
  • General familiarity with Microsoft office
  • Strong attention to detail, organized, and a great team player with initiative to function autonomously
  • Able to work independently and replicate the responsibilities of the manager for the day-to-day functions and tasks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person

Salary : $16 - $18
