Job Posting for Part-Time Equipment Operator at Hermes Co Inc

Hermes Landscaping is looking for an experienced part-time equipment operator. The part-time equipment operator will be responsible for:

Loading and unloading equipment from vehicles used to transport it.
Inspecting equipment before and after use to ensure it’s in good working order.
Perform "walk around" inspections of equipment before operation and at the end of shift.
Driving or operating heavy equipment to complete tasks on job site.
Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines.
Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, equipment, workers, and falling objects.
Perform maintenance procedures on equipment such as oiling, greasing, and other services to the machine.
Troubleshoot and make adjustments to equipment.
Other unlisted duties will be assigned.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

3-5 years of previous experience operating heavy equipment.
Knowledge of equipment operation techniques and safety procedures.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind.
Ability to abide by strict, but necessary, safety rules and policies.
