Data Scientist

Data Scientist has3-5 years of practical experience in data science, with a strong background in structured query language (SQL), data cleaning, statistical modeling, and creating summarized reports using visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau. The data scientist works closely with cross-functional teams in Operations, Finance and IT, providingERP management and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform data cleaning, transformation, and preprocessing tasks to prepare data for analysis.
  • Develop and implement statistical models to extract insights from large datasets.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data requirements and objectives.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports using visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) to communicate findings effectively.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Work with structured and unstructured data to extract relevant information.
  • Manage and maintain ERP systems (Viewpoint ERP, Procore).
  • Generate financial reports and provide actionable insights to improve business processes.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to integrate data science solutions into production systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data science and analytics.
  • Strong working knowledge of Java, Python, and SAS.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and data extraction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of practical experience as a Data Scientist.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Experience with Power BI and Tableau for data visualization.
  • Knowledge of Viewpoint ERP and Procore is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for data-driven decision-making.
