What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Soccer Coach position at Herron-Riverside High School?
Herron-Riverside High School is a public charter school in partnership with the Mayor’s office and Indianapolis Public Schools, located in the historical Heslar Naval Armory as a replication of Herron High School in 2017. Herron-Riverside is a fully-accredited high school. We are a 1A soccer IHSAA high school and a member of the Greater Indianapolis Athletic Conference (GIAC).
Responsibilities
Performance Goal: A Successful Candidate;
1. Works with the Athletic Director to establish and lead a successful soccer program;
2. Serves as an example of exceptional professional conduct and is mindful of their representation of Herron-Riverside High School;
3. Encourages student participation and manages the successful day-to-day operations of the Soccer Program;
4. Works with other Head Coaches to increase student-athlete participation;
5. Must be on time and prepared for each practice and game;
6. Follows and supports the Coaching Handbook and the mission of HRHS;
7. Attends athletic, all-school, IHSAA and GIAC Coaching meetings, events and professional development, as directed by the Herron-Riverside Athletic Department.
8. Candidates must refrain from soccer club activities and follow all IHSAA bylaws.

Requirements: Applicants must have the following:
Experience as a player & some coaching preferred
Valid Driver’s License
Clear Criminal History Check
Willingness to run a winter futsal club
