Job Description:
This position is the primary ticketing programmer and event builder for events at the Hershey Theatre and GIANT Center, while also supporting other venues on the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex, as necessary, including the Hersheypark Stadium and the Historic Hersheypark Arena. This includes the planning, execution, and ongoing oversight of all aspects of event ticketing, from development through settlement. As primary ticketing programmer of Hershey Theatre and GIANT Center, this position will focus on all event ticketing aspects for high profile and complex events/concerts and will serve as lead on a wide variety of entertainment programming event ticketing needs.
Job Functions (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position):
  • Manage and build events on Ticketmaster (Host and Archtics) ticketing systems; Produce maps and scaling for promoters/artist management/internal staff; Control Building, Show, and Dress/Production holds for all events; Work with internal and external clients by managing price changes and scaling updates with the goal of maximizing selling capacity and revenue, whenever possible; Manage the Broadway Series Subscription process.*
  • Serve as key representative by establishing and maintaining positive rapport and communication with all key stakeholders (including promoter/artist management, show production manager, internal operational teams, Ticketmaster) relating to event ticketing and production information.*
  • Manage and oversee day-of-show ticketing operations, including event day requests from Team/Promoter/Artist Management, as well completion of box office show settlements; Serve as department Manager on Duty (MOD) for all hockey related events and as assigned; Attend MOD meetings and assist Guest Experience and Box Office Teams, as necessary.*
  • Report and distribute sales information, daily reports, audits, and colored sold maps to internal management, promoters, artist management, and operational team members in an accurate and timely manner to assist with business decision-making; Communicate all pre-sale and public on sale tickets sales, as requested by show and internal management; Distribute required show-day reports, as required by promoters, artist management, and internal teams; Monitor all tickets sold for VIP and sponsorship sales, as well as all other management requests.*
  • Manage event information by ensuring it is up-to-date and maintained in the Events Database for all venue events; Create and communicate Event Information Sheets for the Box Office and internal operational teams, as requested; Provide updated event information, new and upcoming events, pricing updates, and other related event changes to the Box Office Team to ensure staff is communicating accurate and up-to-date information to our guests.*
  • Communicate information with Ticketmaster representatives to ensure efficient and accurate event builds, pre-sales, and on-sales, as well as reporting requirements; Collaborate with Ticketmaster and manage new ticketing technologies to achieve maximum efficiencies within the event building processes.*
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
  • Industry Experience – Box Office Ticketing, Entertainment, Guest Services
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Proficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time.
  • Skilled in the use of Ticketmaster Ticketing systems (Archtics and Host).
  • Must have a valid Drivers' License
  • Bachelor’s degree – Business Administration, Communications, Hospitality Management
    • Relevant work experience can be substituted for education – 4 years

  • Work shifts may involve long hours, depending upon event scheduled and demands of the job responsibilities. Work responsibilities my extend to outside of the office (i.e. days off, home). Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays, based on calendar of events.
