Note: Will consider remote with travel to Hershey, PA and various locations.
The Director of Integrated Media, Salty, is responsible for driving the media strategy, while executing innovative and effective media tactics across a robust mix of channels including, but not limited to, television, online video, digital, audio, mobile, paid social and performance channels to drive the Salty business, within The Hershey Company, focused on Skinny Pop, Pirate’s Booty, Dot’s Pretzels and more.
With this role, the opportunities are endless: They will act as a strategic thought partner both within the Brand, Product and Digital team, as well as with leaders across the organization. The Director of Integrated Media will report to Head of Media Analytics and will lead a team of two. The candidate will also manage and serve as the main point of contact to the media agencies respective of the portfolio of brands.
Responsibilities include:
Develop the media strategy for integrated marketing campaigns to support business goals. Set campaign metrics and goals, manage campaign analysis, and deliver data to key stakeholders, partners & franchisee
Drive and oversee execution, design and lead implementation of integrated media campaigns that support the marketing, brand, and digital calendar across mass customer campaigns
Sets the media partnership vision and roadmap and leads the development of the partnership framework with priorities defined across measurement/analytics/learning, creative/content, and innovation
Drive channel strategies based on marketing, audience, and consumer insights through agency leadership and collaboration, as well as lead Annual Upfront in partnership with AOR
Work closely with Insights and Analytics partners to develop performance measurement reporting and media mix modeling to demonstrate the impact of cross funnel activities through media
Lead campaign briefs that clearly articulate strategy, vision, and direction for the media agency. Present to franchisees, internal partners, integrated agency teams and others to expose new key learnings and recommendations.
Participate in creative lead activities, to ensure creative development aligns with media strategy and direction
Partner with Sales Team Leaders to manage top Retailer Media Publishers such as Wal-Mart Media Group, Roundel (Target), Amazon and Kroger Precision Marketing. Participate in annual JBP development securing favorable terms, strong support teams and leadership of publisher road map.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:
Must be an expert in media planning and buying across all media platforms
Must be able to link media delivery and insights to commercial objectives of growing sales, share and profit.
Must be analytical and able to form and clearly communicate media strategy recommendations based on their analysis
Must understand the interworking of Ad Tech (ad serving, DSPs, automated trading, verification)
Must be able to influence and lead change up through senior company leaders
Deep curiosity, willingness to learn, attention to detail, ability to thrive in a small, agile team environment with a desire to perform at a high level
Travel up to 30%
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: 15 years’ experience in media agency management, media planning, and media buying. Must also have extensive knowledge of ad tech, media data and analytics. Will consider both client and media agency experience
