Job Location: Hershey, PA 
 

Summary

The Brand Analyst will have responsibilities split across three key areas:  1) will be the primary lead for all BFY (Better-for-you) retail analytics, including weekly tracking and monthly leadership presentations 2) Will be the point person for the BFY IBM planning process and 3) will oversee the management of Hershey’s BFY Sweets portfolio, which will include Lily’s, HONEST and Twizzlers.  This role reports to the Brand Manager, Mainstream BFY.

 

The BA must be a strong leader of people in cross-functional assignments as they play a leadership role throughout the organization, coordinating with other teams to ensure necessary actions occur in support of their marketing position.

 

Additionally, this role requires an individual with a business owner mentality comfortable with high levels of autonomy and a passion to drive their assigned business units. They need to have strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze large sets of data, identify insights, build compelling strategic plans, and influence the organization to take action. Individuals must have a keen view of the external environment including general trends impacting the business, competitive awareness, and an understanding of both consumers and customers.

 

The ideal candidate is someone who can hit the ground running by managing the day-to-day operations of assigned business units, leading the cross-functional team in delivering key initiatives, and working with our partners (agencies, internal, and external) to develop and execute marketing plans from in-store to digital & social activations.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Strategic planning for assigned business units including annual business review, brand plans, 3-year vision and strategy, and 5-year innovation pipeline.
  • Leadership of activities and projects that will result in the successful implementation of marketing plans.
  • Lead foundational BFY CMG category research to inform post-pandemic growth strategy.
  • Innovation/renovation strategy, development, and launch management (near and long term) to include product innovation and packtype expansion.
  • Overall portfolio management for Lily’s and Hershey Organics businesses.  
  • Management of Lilys.com, Lily’s social channels, and Lily’s CRM.
  • Business lead for Customer Team connections, responsible for collaboration and coordination on assigned business units.
  • Ongoing partnership with supply chain & manufacturing to prioritize production as needed.
  • General business management for Lily’s to include retail analysis, consumer insights analysis, IBM, RCC, budget, business projections, waste minimization, continuous improvement, SKU management, and key event management.
  • Make strategic recommendations based on analysis of business results.
  • Personal Training and Development.
     

Skills / Competencies:

  • Strong analytical abilities, able to use multiple sources of data and put together data visualizations

  • Strong marketing, finance, and commercial understanding and intuition
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively

  • Problem solving attitude
  • Mekko, Tableau, Alteryx experience a plus
  • IRI / Nielsen / Numerator experience a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI); ability to learn new systems
  • Willingness to be a part of a team that works hard and has fun
     

Education: Bachelor's degree required (preferably Business, Analytics, Management)
Experience: Marketing experience preferred. Analytical and project management experience is a plus.
