What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher/Food Prep position at Hertz Arena?
Part time, nights, weekends and holidays, must be knowledgeable of food handling and prep storage, label and date rotation, knife skills, speed necessary. Must be 18 years of age.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND RESULTS EXPECTED:
¨ Turn on dish machine, fill with water and verify levels of soap at beginning of shift.
¨ Clean pots, pans, dishes, silverware and containers by running through dish machine or hand washing as needed.
¨ Maintain stock of clean dishes.
¨ Maintain clean and sanitary work conditions
¨ Adhere to all Health Department rules and regulations.
¨ Ensure patio is clean by sweeping, emptying ashtrays and wiping down tables & chairs.
¨ Run all bread baskets and trays through the dish machine as needed
¨ Adhere to daily cleaning schedule.
¨ Take out trash as needed during shift and at end of each day.
¨ Maintain dish area in neat and orderly fashion.
¨ Ensure kitchen floor is swept as needed during shift and mopped each day.
¨ Ensure dish machine cleaned, broken down and turned off at end of each day.
¨ Adherence to all Arena policies and procedures.
¨ All other duties as assigned by management.
SPECIFIC SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS FOR OPTIMUM JOB PERFORMANCE:
¨ Strong Organizational skills
¨ Must work flexible hours to include nights, holidays and weekends
¨ Must be able to lift 20 pounds and be on their feet for extended periods of time
¨ Cooperative attitude
¨ Dependability
¨ Able to respond quickly, calmly and professionally to problems and emergencies
¨ Must have or receive Food Safety Training within 90 day of employment
