Manager of Contract Compliance

Herzog Transit Services, Inc. is currently seeking a Manager of Contract Compliance in St. Joseph, MO Reporting to the AVP Business Operations, the Manager of Contract Compliance oversees the Compliance with Agency Contracts, functioning independently and objectively to review and evaluate compliance issues/concerns. The position ensures Herzog’s compliance with contract requirements at each of our service locations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to read and understand and interpret contracts to ensure compliance.
• Acts as an independent review to ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated, and resolved.
• Audits, monitors, and as necessary, coordinates compliance activities to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
• Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested.
• Monitors the performance of the Compliance Program and related activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness.
• Frequent travel to all of Herzog’s transit properties all over the U.S.
• Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• College degree preferred
• Must be highly motivated and a self-starter
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Experience with contract administration/management
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skills
• Ability to travel on a regular basis, including outside of the U.S.
• Must be able to maintain confidential information
• Demonstrated computer proficiencies with the below:
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Adobe Acrobat
• Cloud based storage applications (i.e. TEAMS, Box, Dropbox)

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
• Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen.
• Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
