What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenace Manager position at HES Facilities?
A maintenance manager is responsible for
- Monitoring the condition of property, facilities and equipment and identifying maintenance needs
- Developing and implementing schedules and strategies for regular, preventive and corrective maintenance
- Optimizing the efficiency and reliability of production processes, methods, labor, energy and equipment
- Assuring a safe and orderly work environment and compliance with corporate and governmental rules and regulations
- Determining staffing levels and enforcing policies, work rules and other standards
- Supervising, training and evaluating maintenance staff and contractors
Other Accountabilities:
1. Repair or replace electrical outlets. Change/replace lighting fixtures or tubes/bulbs.
2. Repair/replace broken electrical switches when necessary.
3. Perform minor drywall repairs, adjust door hardware and latches to perform properly.
4. Perform all general duties to maintain buildings in good operating condition.
5. Replace stained ceiling tiles upon repair of any leaks.
6. Oversee outside vendors when necessary.
7. Obtain any necessary materials as needed to complete tasks.
8. Secure needed supplies or equipment and notify proper person of any additional supplies or equipment needs.
9. Observe and report any unusual or emergency situations to the Manager or Director of Facilities Operations
10. Make recommendations to immediate supervisor about how methods and procedures may be improved.
11. Work with other trades within the Facilities Maintenance Department as needed to complete repairs or projects.
12. Rotate as necessary to cover various shifts as schedule requires by the Facilities Maintenance Department.
