Job Description
• End-to-End Business Development: Lead the entire business development process from identifying opportunities to closing deals for custom software development services.
• Good Experience in Software Services sales with exposure to Staff Augmentation would be preferred.
• Identify and pursue decision-makers in need of our software services.
• Develop and manage a comprehensive database of opportunities and capture strategies.
• Generate leads and manage the sales process from initial contact through to contract signing and project initiation.
• Utilize your extensive network and connections with medium to large enterprises to generate new business opportunities from the US and Canada.
• Leverage an extensive personal Rolodex and professional network to drive new business opportunities and build strategic partnerships.
• Combine personal networking with advanced lead generation systems to identify and pursue new logos, expanding our client base and market reach.
• Utilize established relationships and industry connections to generate leads and secure high-value clients.
• Identify and pursue outsourced software development opportunities to expand our service offerings.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business growth.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
• Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to potential clients.
• Work closely with the technical and project management teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
• Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and business development progress to senior management.
• Plan, develop, and execute territory plan for assigned region.
• Conduct meetings with new and existing clients to express and discuss our staff augmentation or professional services and to ensure the continuous development of future relationships/partnerships with our clients.
• Developing sales strategies in conjunction with management to maximize account penetration.
• Negotiate contract terms to ensure a win/win outcome for both us and the Client.
• Translating client needs into Statements of Work or Job Orders.
• Represent the company at marketing events, trade shows, business forums, and other related events.
• Hunting of new logos and farming of any existing accounts is required.
Preferred candidate profile
• Proven track record of at least 10 years in IT Consulting & Software Services Sales, with a strong focus on Microsoft and Cloud Technology Services such as Azure and AWS, Application Development and Modernization, Data and Gen AI Services.
• Hands-on experience in sales and business development, specifically in the software development services industry.
• Existing connections with Microsoft or relevant industry networks are highly desirable.
• Knowledge of GCC sales knowledge with exposure to offshore and nearshore models, and their business processes.
• Experience in Sales Tools such as Salesforce HubSpot or any other CRM tools to record all sales activities.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve or exceed sales targets, preferably with a minimum yearly quota of $2 million.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with medium to large enterprises.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, Strategic Thinking, Decision-Making, Independent contribution, team collaboration, and presentation skills.
• In-depth understanding of software development processes and technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Location & Flexibility:
- Must be based in the Northeast region (Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Virginia).
- Willing to work from our office in Somerset, NJ at least 1 day a week as preferred.
