Reporting to the Senior Director, Geomatics and Software Engineering, the primary focus of this role is to provide exceptional functional and technical leadership for our world class team of engineers working on GNSS positioning technologies. The team is responsible for the research and development of novel positioning features and improvements for our customers’ wide-ranging applications.

Responsibilities
As our Manager, GNSS Positioning you will be responsible for the following:
- Provide functional management and technical leadership of the team
- Create and maintain the domain roadmap, working with the PE Technology Manager
- Work with stakeholders in Engineering, Product Management, Sales and Applied Research to identify, prioritize, plan and resource tasks
- Build the team by development of individuals, addressing skills gaps and nurturing a culture of initiative, innovation, accountability, quality and continuous improvement. Foster development of the team’s skills through personal skills development, continuous improvement initiatives, and knowledge transfer.
- Anticipate, and organize education and training of the team, using both external and internal sources
- Provide performance feedback, coaching and career growth
- Develop, communicate and execute plans efficiently with team buy-in
- Have accountability for the team’s actions and results
- Provide oversight and assistance on important customer support cases
- Work well with others – build relationships and trust with direct reports and other managers
- Represent the team and its interests in management meetings and initiatives
- Provide and communicate a compelling vision for the team

- Champion the development processes that are used within the engineering organization
- Work with various project stakeholders to help projects progress from ideas to released products
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Degree in geomatics engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to clearly communicate ideas and solutions to others
- Strong knowledge and understanding of GNSS positioning algorithms
- People leadership skills, and a desire to build a strong team
