What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Specialist position at Hexatronic US?
Hexatronic US is looking to add a Quality Assurance Specialist to the team, this position will be located in Clinton, SC.
The purpose of this role is to develop standard operating procedures, and work instructions in accordance with the ISO Quality Management System. In addition to the development of procedures, this position is responsible for executing material inspections and other related quality tasks.
Essential Duties
· Create standard operating procedures and work instructions.
· Control documents required by the quality management system.
· Recommend, implement, and direct others to modify operational methods and practices along with overall strategy to enhance department effectiveness.
· Drive the customer complaint investigation resolution process.
· Inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
· Perform First Piece, In-Process and Final Inspections of product to confirm products meet specifications.
· Participation/Perform Internal Audits and Kaizens.
· Manage the disposition of all non-conforming materials/product, including supplier communication and resolution.
· Review/Develop control plans.
· Maintain calibration of equipment.
· Prepare metric reports (KPI’s).
Requirements and Qualifications
- Knowledge of measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gages
- Proficient computer skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Fundamental knowledge of ERP software systems
- Must be willing and able to work in both office and manufacturing factory environments.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor or Associate degree in Engineering or Technical field or minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibilities in a quality function
