Job Title: SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) -W2 Only
Location: Rancho Cucamonga, CA or Rocky Hill, CT (Onsite)
We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) with strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our SQL Server databases, supporting critical healthcare applications.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain SQL Server databases across multiple environments, including production, development, and testing.
Perform database installations, upgrades, migrations, and patches as required.
Monitor and optimize database performance, including troubleshooting and resolving performance issues.
Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning to minimize data loss and downtime.
Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT teams as needed.
Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to SQL Server and healthcare IT.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator in a production environment.
Strong technical skills in SQL Server database administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in T-SQL scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in the healthcare domain is a plus.
