The Process Engineer is responsible for performing mixing trials at HFRM customer sites and Technical Center and to commission new HFMG products. The Process Engineer will provide training both internally and at customer sites with a focus on process technology.


  Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to:

· Contributes to the strategic planning of Research & Development according to objectives defined by HFRM and HFMG.

· Supports Product & Technology Strategy for development introduction of new products or significant changes to existing products, in line with HFMG Strategy.

· Knowledge and ability to operate HFMG products with focus on process technology.

· Fosters the exchange of knowledge and expertise between Process Engineer / Technical Center member, other members of the Group Technology and Process Engineering, and other HFMG departments.

· Ensures resources are used effectively and efficiently, quality standards are maintained, the operation is conducted in a safe and environmentally conscious way.

· Manages the R&D budget for projects, controls the costs and the efficiency of R&D activities in order to streamline resources and define expenses and priorities.

· Provides support to Customers, Suppliers, and Partners for technological and research aspects.

· Supports customers by assisting with correct selection of machine, machine dimensioning and mixing line layout.

· Evaluates mixing processes performed at customer site and in Technical Center.

· Plans, performs, evaluates and documents mixing trials at customer site and in Technical Center with a focus on optimization to meet customer needs and expectations in quality, cost and timeliness.

· Plans, performs, evaluates, and documents customer site visits for commissioning new HFMG products, and solves process-related issues.

· Support development and testing of new products.

· Create and provide internal and external training.

· Interact with HFMG departments to collect process field data and resolve issues.

· Interact with HFMG departments to collect information for improvement of existing equipment and development on new equipment.

· Performs additional duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

  

· Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.

· Three (3) years experience in Process Engineering, preferably Technical Rubber Goods.

· Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality system requirements beneficial.

· Knowledge of manufacturing processes.

· Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.

· Ability to effectively communicate, present information and answer questions clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers.

· Ability to analyze data or information by identifying the underlying principles, reasons or facts of information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems.

· Ability to organize, multi-task, plan, set priorities and exercise good judgment in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while maintaining strong attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently and in team settings.

· Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of HFRM.

· Demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations.
