Overview:

HGA’s Allied Disciplines group is seeking a talented Construction Administration Manager to join our construction administration, specifications, cost estimating, and records management team! The Construction Administration Manager will manage a distributed team of Construction Administration Staff across various HGA offices, support and advance HGA’s CA processes, guide project teams during CA, and perform CA activities for select projects. Our commitment to sustainability is especially important during construction administration and understanding the documentation necessary to achieve those aims is an important part of the CA Manager’s role. 

 

 

In this role you will:

1. Manage and coordinate workflow of Construction Administration staff responsible for CA process tasks including recording submittals, requests for information (RFIs), and other construction documentation issued during the construction administration phase.2. Support and manage the advancement and curation of HGA’s construction administration process.3. Assist with the development and implementation of policies, procedures, templates, timelines and workflows related to CA.4. Work with project teams and technical leaders from across the firm, support the use and integration of Newforma web-based project management software from project initiation through the construction phase.5. Act as a liaison between our design professionals, contractors, and our client representatives during the project construction phase.6. Advise and mentor project teams in developing, administering, and enforcing the requirements of the contract documents related to construction phase activities.7. Mentor/coach CA team and foster a collaborative team environment.8. Assist in preparation of construction contract documents during construction administrationCA process tasks using Newforma web-based project management software.9. Administration of the construction process for select projects.

You will need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering or an equivalent combination of related education and experience• 5 years of experience in construction administration project management• 5 years of experience managing a team, with the ability to manage in-person and remotely• Attention to detail• Strong organizational and analytical skills• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities with a positive, professional, flexible “can-do” attitude• Self-starter and problem solver• Ability to read, understand, and work from contract documents, specifications, contractor submittals and schedules• Familiarity with standard General Conditions of the Construction Contract, Division 00, Contracting Requirements, and Division 01, General Requirements specifications• Experience and understanding of sustainability-related objectives; review and documentation of sustainability requirements in contract document and construction administration project phase • Experience with Newforma or other web-based construction project management software

Salary Information:

The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA’s robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range: $65,100 - $106,600
