The Buyer will be responsible for purchasing materials and supplies for orders and the office while maintaining proper inventory levels, order timelines, and supplier relationships.

Description:

• Purchase raw materials required for production and maintain inventory levels
• Order non-inventory purchases to include services, computers, tools, janitorial and office supplies, packaging, etc. and maintain inventory
• Keep appropriate people informed on open purchase orders and delivery status for items
• Request quotes, source new vendors/suppliers and monitor their performance
• Track order status, communicate delays, and follow-up on past due items
• Act as a back-up to the Shipping department

Requirements & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience
• Manufacturing environment experience is desired
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Knowledge of BOMs and inventory management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• A strong work ethic, and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• The ability to communicate effectively in written and oral communications
• Must possess a sense of team work, respect for other’s efforts and a “can-do attitude”
• Exhibit proactive behavior towards upholding quality standards, with a drive for continuous improvement and a dedication to providing customer satisfaction
