Responsibilities
- Play critical role in
all our customer engagement with implementation of Oracle WebCenter Sites to
suit their business needs. Anticipate project risks and make corrective
recommendations to project manager.
- Ensure effective
adoption of all features of Oracle's technologies within the Digital Experience
realm, specifically, Oracle WebCenter Sites by presenting proof of concept
solutions that address customer needs.
- Map customers'
business needs with solutions that fit Oracle WebCenter Sites' capabilities.
Review and validate technical and non-technical requirements and ensure they
are compliant with the Oracle WebCenter Sites framework as well as size the
hardware based on the requirements.
- Work with the
architecture team and develop the required customization and configuration of
the implementation which includes WebCenter sites Templates, assets and APIs
for authoring/delivery mechanisms, caching capabilities, integration points of
User Interface layers and any third-party APIs (Application Programming
Interfaces).
- Perform Content
Authoring for WebCenter Sites implementations.
- Validate "asset
models" (Oracle WebCenter Sites' data model) affecting the content
authors' ease of use of the product.
- Determine and advise
customer on caching strategy while developing templates.
- Create detailed
technical specification documents that are used by developers during the
implementation of the Oracle WebCenter Suite of products.
- Make recommendations
on Patch Set Updates that need to be applied to customer systems to address
known issues and provide desired enhancements to customer systems.
- Work with project
managers and Delivery Managers to incorporate estimates into a project plan and
generate project approach.
- Engage with customers
both in person and remotely, to demonstrate functionality, troubleshoot
problems, and implement action plans.
- Provide training to
content editors and authors of Content Management Systems to build assets and
contribute content to websites.
- Evaluate scope of work
and implementation options.
- Advise senior
management of strategic direction and decisions.
- Mentor developers to
ensure successful implementation of design.
Requirements
- Must
have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer
Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering,
or a related field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience
in the position offered, or as a Software Engineer, Associate Software
Engineer, or a related position.
- Must
have five (5) years of experience with all of the following: Estimating,
architecting, designing, developing and implementing web-based digital
applications using Oracle WebCenter Sites 11g or 12c, Cloud Computing, Python,
Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, and Modern Web frameworks including Angular JS,
Node JS, Groovy, jQuery, AJAX, and JSON; Utilizing J2EE Application Servers including
WebLogic and JBoss; Utilizing Relational databases including Oracle and MS-SQL
Server; Utilizing Version Control Software to ensure effective adoption and implementation
of continuous integration coding techniques; Applying code and performance optimizing
techniques; Providing Infrastructure and cloud environment support; Utilizing
CI/CD and DevOps principles adoption using Jenkins, Git, and Docker; Scripting
using Ansible, Terraform and Python; Working in an agile environment; and
Utilizing Oracle's development tools and project methodologies including Oracle
Unified Methodologies and Agile.
- Alternatively,
Employer will accept a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in a stated field
of study or related field plus two (2) years of progressively responsible
experience in the position offered, or as a Software Engineer, Associate
Software Engineer, or a related position, and two (2) years of experience in
all of the above-stated skills. Employer will accept pre- or post-Master's
degree experience.
