Responsibilities:
Boost revenue and increase new guest visits through strategic outbound sales efforts that may include phone solicitation to local professionals, corporations, and members of your personal network
Develop and implement sales strategies that maintain high levels of occupancy and profitability through coordination with department managers
Report on sales activities for the previous and future weeks in meetings with department leaders, and prepare a monthly expense report for all hotel sales-related expenditures
Create methods to help the sales team reach and surpass monthly room booking targets that are in line with the hotel's overall revenue management goals
Evaluate information gathered from market data and create a plan to meet design marketing deliverables, hotel financial goals, and create an annual sales forecast
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required
We prefer someone with prior hospitality experience but is not required
Must have relevant experience of 5 years as a sales professional, preferably in the hospitality field
Proven track record of sales success in lead-generation and closing skills
Knowledge of computer-based software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
• Prior sales experience in a hotel is required.
