What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher-Utility Worker Hospital position at HHS?
HHS - Food Service at UP Health Systems, Marquette is hiring a Dishwasher.
General Summary: The main objective of the dishwasher/utility position is to maintain the cleanliness and sanitize all pots pans, utensils and equipment parts in a timely manner. In addition, this position is responsible for putting away deliveries in a timely manner.
Principal Duties:
· Responsible for the general order and cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room and storeroom. This includes sweeping and mopping.
Dish/Pot Washing:
· Cleans and returns all pots, pans, china, flatware, trays, storage containers, other items, utensils and equipment in a timely manner, following CNS standards and policies.
· Sets up and maintains 3-compartment sink. Changes water as needed and maintain proper level of chemical additives to properly wash, rinse, and sanitize items.
Cleanliness and Sanitation:
· Follows departmental closing procedures.
· Be sure every area has clean trashcans in place. Discard all trans and empty carboard bins.
Job Specifications:
· Must be minimum of 18 years of age.
· Capable of prolonged standing and walking continuously, pushing dish racks, frequent stooping, bending and lifting up to 40 lbs.
