Vice President of Product and Product Management

Hi-Line provides vendor managed inventory (VMI) services and after-market products to the industrial after-market. Our products can be divided into nineteen product groups comprising over four hundred product lines and thousands of SKUs. The continued development and growth of our product offering is a high priority.

We seek an experienced person to lead the management and expansion of the Hi-Line product portfolio while upholding the company’s core values and competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze competitive moves, sales trends, and market opportunities for new product or business requirements.
  • Cultivate team member and customer relationships to better understand customer requirements and identify opportunities.
  • Develop business knowledge to articulate business benefits for new opportunities and communicate the “why” across project teams.
  • Design and communicate Product Roadmaps.
  • Manage products throughout the product life cycle from inception, launch, growth, and retirement.
  • Maintain and prioritize any product backlog and get cross-functional alignment on execution status and communicate throughout the company.
  • Build go-to-market plans with a cross-functional team to ensure quick and successful adoption of new products.
  • Lead steering meetings to promote products through phases of development and ensure all team members of the business are providing the needed support thus allowing the product toreach the market with maximum potential.
  • Ensure product launches are done in a way that represents Hi-Line and maintains the standard for competitive differentiation.
  • Confirm product information to ensure all digital pieces are aligned for supporting any launch.
  • Coordinate product marketing support through the various phases of the marketing funnel for product launch as well as targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Accounting, and Purchasing to research and bring operational efficiencies to current and future product lines in a way that ensures balance of the value.
  • Develop and enhance vendor partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the President, COO and sales leaders. Travel as required.
  • Create product support tools.
  • Support the sales, ops and marketing teams during major installation operations.
