What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool and Die Maker position at Hi Tech, Inc.?
Summary: Responsible for the preparation of tools for pressroom including inspection of progressive tools and verifies equipment is properly maintained by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for the preparation of tools for pressroom including inspection of progressive tools for wear, broken punches, etc.
- Troubleshoot high speed progressive stamping tools and make necessary repairs and/or adjustments.
- Follows workload priorities as provided by lead toolmaker.
- Perform all work necessary to assure that part produced with pass first piece inspection.
- Adheres to company procedures, customer specifications and safety regulations during the performance of duties.
- Consults Lead Toolmaker regarding necessary information that may be needed to analyze written specifications, drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions to determine sequences of operations.
- Completes paperwork and inspection procedures as directed.
- Maintains a clean, safe and orderly workspace.
