POSITION SUMMARY
Work is performed under direct supervision using blueprints, PBS’s and both written and verbal instruction. Performs basic and routine mechanical assembly operations on components and final assemblies in various departments.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Continuously improves products and processes and participates in quality improvement teams when appropriate.
2. Responsible for ensuring on-time delivery to the customer by maintaining productivity and following department schedules.
3. Recommends ways to save money and cut unnecessary costs.
4. Responsible for satisfying the needs of internal and external customers by responding to customer requests, understanding customer requirements and building successful, productive customer relations.
5. Performs operations as required in battery packs, ISP silkscreen, final assembly and wire assembly.
6. Inserts components into circuit boards and prepares parts for soldering.
7. Performs edgepainting operations on lenses for pushbuttons and assembles pushbuttons.
8. Builds and tests switches in ISP.
