Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum qualifications: two years of benefit experience, including enrollment and managing accounts (computer automated)
- Ability to comprehend and interpret Missouri Statutes, State Board Regulations, School Board Policies, State Retirement rules, and COBRA Compliance Regulations.
- High competency level with hands-on experience utilizing automated insurance programs.
- Proficient grammar, spelling, reconciliation, analytical and telephone skills. Strong accounting skills and proven experience relating to the ability to maintain accurate records, files and reports.
- Knowledge of the practice and types of benefits packages.
- Knowledge of the legal requirements concerning insurance coverage.
- Ability to fully utilize various benefits software.
- Ability to work well with learning community, parents, teachers, students, administrators and staff with courtesy, tact, and good judgment.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism while dealing with difficult and emotional people.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity handling information and documents.
- Be of good character, neat in personal appearance, dependable, reliable, prompt, and flexible and have pleasing manners and personality.
- High level of proficiency utilizing computer software with an emphasis on word processing, data base, and spreadsheets.
- Requires more complex spreadsheet preparation and understanding and comprehension in the reconciliation process.
- Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly, work independently, performing individual projects and routine matters with minimal direction or supervision.
- Must have the ability to think clearly in stressful situations, work well under pressure.
