Requirements

We are looking for a self-motivated seasonal Ecommerce Content Associate who is ready to be a part of close-knit team in an exciting start-up environment, located in downtown Chicago. This role is actively involved in updating, maintaining, and optimizing eCommerce product catalogs and website marketing content including landing pages, product listing pages, product detail pages, and customer service content.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Refresh website content based on marketing calendar and product launch dates for both Hickory Farms and Wicked Good Cupcakes. 
  • Execute product catalog updates and maintenance including adding new products, ensuring the accuracy of existing data, updating product images, and finding opportunities to improve the customer shopping experience through improved product data.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Brand teams to implement requirements for search optimization, digital marketing, and customer retention and enhance content across product pages, including images, video, descriptions, etc.
  • Manage and build content pages and blog articles using CMS tools and HTML/CSS supporting customer engagement, education, and search engine optimization efforts.
  • QA new and updated brand and product web content for accuracy on the staging site.
  • Maintain proactive communication across teams to ensure all deliverables are deployed in a timely manner. 
  • Engage with team members and stakeholders to ensure a smooth workflow and complete deployment.
  • Be an ardent brand advocate, supporting brand consistency across all web pages.
  • Ability to flourish while managing multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
  • Showcase a positive attitude, willingness to collaborate, and openness to feedback.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 years experience in e-commerce operations or web development with a D2C company or agency.
  • Competency in HTML, CSS/SCSS, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word. Experience using web authoring and/or e-commerce storefront tools is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, e-commerce, websites, etc. 
  • Strong attention to detail while also being able to conceptualize “the bigger picture.”
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. 
  • Must be able to complete the “essential job functions” with “reasonable accommodations” and meet all the mandatory qualifications under the ADA guidelines. 
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform essential physical activities such as lifting, climbing, standing, stooping, or typing.
  • Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.
