Responsibilities
- Coach sales team on proper closing techniques through training and active participation
- Maintain profitability of your teams
- Manage all showroom activities
- Ensure high CSI scores & monitor these metrics for making improvements
- Hire, motivate, and monitor the performance of new & preowned sales consultants, product specialists, internet sales consultants and equity mining sales representatives
- Conduct daily and weekly sales training meetings for all sales producers in your department
- Coach both new and experienced sales reps on best practices for improving performance
- Ensure proper follow up of all prospective buyers by developing, implementing, and monitoring a CRM system
- Establish delivery procedures
- Ensure delivery includes an introduction to the service department and scheduling of the first service appointment
- Achieve forecasted goals and objectives for dealership & OEM sales, gross, and monitor key expenses on a monthly and annual basis
- Work with General Manager on new vehicle inventory management and preowned inventory management and acquisition
- Coach and train floor managers to manage product specialists to achieve production targets
- Work with finance team to manage contracts in transit and accuracy in paperwork with emphasis on compliance
- Work with General Manager on marketing of all new and preowned vehicles
- Drive team engagement to utilize all available tools to include CRM, equity mining and digital retailing
- Work with internet sales team to deliver quality responses to incoming leads and phone calls in an efficient and timely manner
Qualifications
- Automotive Sales Manager experience is required
- Ability to re-locate
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be willing to submit to background check & drug screen
