Joining IdenTrust's Software Development Team:

IdenTrust, part of HID Global, is a public key certificate authority that provides digital certificates to financial institutions, healthcare providers, government agencies and enterprises. The software development team is responsible for developing new applications, enhancing existing applications, solving problems, and resolving defects. The team is based in Salt Lake City.

As ourSenior Software Engineer, you'll support HID's successby:

  • Providing enterprise architecture guidance
  • Developing new applications, maintaining existing applications, and identifying and deprecating obsolete code
  • Helping to define and evolve the technical vision for the company with a focus on microservices and replaceability
  • Evaluating and recommending technology choices to proactively meet IdenTrust's business strategy with a perspective towards future adaptation
  • Maintaining an ongoing awareness of industry standards and emerging technologies, and how these relate to existing or potential product or technical needs or opportunities

What we will love about your background:

  • Sound working knowledge of:
        • Application architecture principles
        • Design patterns and their implementation
        • Spring, JBoss and/or Tomcat containers; HTTP, JSON, XML, and Web Service protocols
        • Java, JSP, Java Servlets, React and/or Angular, SQL, NoSQL and web development concepts
        • Microservices, GraphQL or REST
        • Version control systems, Gitflow branch/release management
  • Good knowledge of containerized application deployment
  • Understanding of dependency management (Maven, Jenkins or Gradle)
  • Experience in decomposing monolith applications
  • Experience working in an Agile Development methodology (Scrum, XP, SAFe, etc.)

YourExperienceand Education include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of software development experience
  • Experience working in an Agile Development methodology (Scrum, XP, SAFe, etc.)
  • Experience with virtualization in containers (Docker)

  • You have expert knowledge of computer systems including clients, servers, operating systems, browsers, and networks
  • You are a team player and can provide third-tier support when needed
  • You diplomatically guide and consult with other engineering teams on critical design or performance issues
  • You work collaboratively with your teammates to modernize technologies and processes

Additional Work Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Compliance to all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems
  • Candidate must agree to, and successfully pass a comprehensive background check to include:
        • Financial review (credit worthiness)
        • Civil review (public records, judgements, liens, etc.)
        • Criminal background check
        • Drug screening, where applicable
