HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Technician in the Food Production industry in Montgomery City, MO!
Salary: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Location: Montgomery City, MO
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Repair mechanical issues of facility machinery as requested by the maintenance manager on a daily basis.
- Monitor and repair electric controls on industrial production equipment.
- Improve the functioning of the machinery by making mechanical adjustments and performing preventative maintenance.
- Perform basic building maintenance and repairs, including drywall repairs, painting, and other tasks as needed.
- Complete daily mechanical maintenance and repair record forms and deliver them to the maintenance manager.
- Clean and maintain work area after mechanical work has been performed.
- Perform quality welding and electrical work as required.
- Obtain services of outside contractors for repairs requiring specialized training.
- Perform regularly scheduled work orders on equipment and facilities.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum of two (2) years of technical/mechanical experience in Food Production.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Knowledge of Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic systems, and Control Systems.
- Experience with High-Speed Packaging Machinery and industrial electrical PLC.
- Thorough knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repair.
- Ability to read blueprints, building plans, and repair manuals.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Experience with TIG and MIG welding.
- Forklift (Stand-up/Sit-down, High Reach) certification preferred.
- Familiarity with Sanitary Environments is an asset.
- Positive, proactive, and self-motivated with leadership qualities.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, and crawl into awkward spaces.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
