Order Selector/Delivery Driver

Come join our growing team at High Desert Produce, Central Oregon's premier produce purveyor! As a Warehouse Order Selector, you will pick and palletize produce orders in a warehouse environment. This is a full-time, day-shift position with early morning start times.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pick/Pack cases of produce as per pick sheet list, following established procedures for accurately building and wrapping stable pallets and preparing them to be loaded and delivered.
• Attention to detail by examining lot numbers and checking quality.
• Be proactive in correcting mistakes when discovered to ensure quantity and quality of product.
• Clean and restock the warehouse as needed throughout the shift.
• Report any safety issues to the supervisor or a member of management in a timely manner to ensure safety is maintained.
• Acts as a backup driver delivering orders to customer locations providing good service in a safe and efficient manner.
• Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Previous warehouse experience and equipment experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• One year relevant experience
• Carry a valid driver's license
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test
• Provide excellent customer service
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack, etc.
• Ability to work in a team environment, switching tasks efficiently as needed
• Must be able to work shift start time ranging from 2am-4am
• Must be able to operate and navigate a 16-24ft delivery box truck GVWR 10,000lbs or more
• Must be able to lift up to 60lbs on a regular and consistent basis an able to work in a cold environment
• Maintain a steady pace and deliver orders in a timely manner

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
