About This Role
The Marketing Coordinator plays an important role in developing marketing and business plans that are aligned with the goals and objectives of the organization. The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Marketing and Vice President of Sales to focus on sales growth, profit margins, and market share targets. In addition, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for executing the strategy and efforts to drive brand awareness through social media platforms and channels. The key goal is to facilitate growth, strengthen the brand and community, identify and reach target audiences, and build an effective content strategy to engage the community. This is a hybrid position that includes some remote work but will require about two days a week onsite at High Life Farms Headquarters in Chesaning, MI and one day a week at our dispensary in Grand Rapids, MI. Additional travel may be required.
Essential Job Responsibilities.
· Work directly with the marketing and sales teams to meet goals and objectives and help develop strategic marketing initiatives for the brand.
· Managing High Life Farms social media accounts and post to them daily.
· Creating content for marketing assets and organizing them in cloud-based applications such as Dropbox and distribute to sales team.
· Collaborate with R&D team to develop products, conduct consumer research to identify and pursue business opportunities.
· Analyzes brand performance, brand competitiveness, and product trends in the marketplace and develops strategies for assigned brand based on research and analysis.
· Work with sales teams to identify and implement appropriate sales and marketing strategies.
· Manage, develop, and implement marketing activities to maximize sales of brands.
· Management of events and participation in trade shows.
· Managing relationship with outside marketing agency and coordinating meetings for HLF team and creating action items weekly
· Packaging design and coordinating with vendors.
· Provide inputs for executive summary to management and key stakeholders including marketing plans, programs, performance, success stories, and other key insights.
· Manage and maintain the organization's website, keeping best practices in mind.
· Optimize content for the website and other marketing initiatives
· Tracking Marketing expenses and keeping them aligned with the budget.
· Coordinating weekly with Sales Manager to make sure we have assets available for sales team.
· Swag design and management.
· Tracking top competitors marketing trends and reporting on them monthly
· Designing merchandise.
· Perform other assigned duties as may be required to meet company objectives.
The Experience and Skills You Bring
·College degree in Marketing, Business Communications, Graphic Design, or related field preferred
· 3 or more years of experience in Marketing or related field preferred.
. Some Cannabis industry experience preferred.
· Experience with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders preferred.
· Experience with Adobe Suite preferred.
· Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change.
· Self-starter who takes initiative and can lead projects through from beginning to end.
· Knowledge of the retail industry, along with possessing strong business and marketing skills.
· Creative mindset and ability to challenge common ways of thinking.
· Strong presentation, organization, and communication skills.
