Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Inventory Coordinator / Lead Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring the efficient management of inventory, and timely delivery of food, equipment, materials, and supplies between High Tech High’s campuses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate the inventory management system for the central kitchen and HTH campuses, including receiving, organizing, and tracking supplies.
2. Monitor inventory levels and work with the Production Manager and FNS Director to reorder supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock levels at all campuses.
3. Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste, loss, and theft.
4. Lead a team of delivery drivers, assigning routes, and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to HTH campuses.
5. Train and supervise delivery drivers on safe driving practices, customer service standards, and proper handling of inventory.
6. Transport food and supplies amongst all High Tech High campuses in a district vehicle.
7. Ensure that all food deliveries are completed on time to meet schedule demands.
8. Maintain delivery vehicles in a safe and operational condition, scheduling regular maintenance and repairs as needed.
9. Maintain assigned vehicle (e.g. fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, tire pressure, etc.) to ensure safe operation of vehicle and sanitation of transported food items.
10. Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards.
11. Collaborate with campus staff to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues or concerns.
12. Resolve inventory discrepancies and communicate directly with the Production Manager and HTH Nutrition Services Leadership regarding damaged or incorrect shipments.
13. Utilize inventory management software to track inventory levels, shipments, and deliveries accurately.
14. Prepare and maintain records, reports, and documentation related to inventory and delivery operations.
15. Assist with loading and unloading deliveries as needed.
16. Follow traffic laws and drive safely to ensure the safety of the driver, others on the road, condition of vehicles and food.
17. Responsible for accurate delivery of food and supplies as well as the condition of food and supplies.
18. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas. 19. Follow assigned cleaning responsibilities.
20. Immediately inform the Production manager and Lunch Supervisor of delay or emergency mechanical failure.
21. Upon return to the kitchen, unload vehicle and place all equipment in appropriate storage areas.
22. Adheres to food and safety handling policies.
23. May interact with customers following organizational customer service standards, Interactions may involve solving food quality issues.
24. Read and respond to all emails in a timely manner.
25. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Related Work Experience
To qualify for this position, an individual must possess any combination of experience and education that would ensure being able to meet and fulfill job requirements.
● High school diploma, completion of G.E.D.
● Minimum of 2 years of driving or inventory management experience.
Licenses, Registrations or Certifications
● Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid California Food Handlers Permit.
● Valid California non-commercial class driver's license

● Must have the ability to understand and communicate in English with adequate proficiency to follow directions from supervisor, read and understand safety guidelines and directions to prevent accidents or injuries from occurring, and communicate effectively with customers.
