Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome customers as they enter the dispensary, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and desired effects from cannabis products.
- Provide accurate and relevant information about different strains, products, consumption methods, and potential effects.
- Assist customers in making informed decisions based on their individual preferences and needs.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions, handle cash, and maintain proper inventory records.
- Maintain an organized and clean retail space, ensuring that products are properly displayed and stocked.
- Adhere to all state and local regulations regarding the sale, distribution, and possession of cannabis products.
- Verify customer identification and age to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth store operations and excellent customer service.
- Stay updated on industry trends, product knowledge, and changes in regulations to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and effectively.
- Uphold a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive customer information.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory audits and restocking products as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and education programs related to cannabis products, safety protocols, and customer service.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a retail or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge and/or willing to learn cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods.
- Familiarity with state and local cannabis regulations and compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when processing transactions.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards cannabis and its potential benefits.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and integrity while working in a highly regulated industry.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible for employment in the cannabis industry.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move up to 20 pounds.
