FUMC ELC Associate Director
The ELC Associate Director is responsible for assisting with the administration of ELC, as may be required for the effective and efficient operation of and reporting on the services provided. The Center Director exercises supervision and evaluation of the ELC Associate Director.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in implementing the Center's Mission Statement, Philosophy, and Goals consistent with its role as a mission of the Church.
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the Center, including ELC staff.
- Maintains all aspects of the Center to ensure that all licensing requirements are met.
- Utilizes leadership styles that are developmentally appropriate for individual teaching staff and gives guidance regarding classroom/time management, discipline, scheduling, planning, and
- Assists with keeping the ELC website current.
- Monitors LA Pathways enrollment, assisting teaching staff as needed.
- Approves all materials, supplies, and equipment entering classrooms or outdoors, including donations and/or teacher purchases.
- Maintains a current school website.
- Assists with conducting ELC tours for prospective parents.
- Communicates effectively with parents and ELC staff on events at the center, policies, concerns, and operational changes that occur or may occur during the year.
- Acknowledges positive relationships and supportive interactions as the foundation of their work with young children.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or related field, some childcare center experience
- Advanced level computer skills, internet, and e-mail.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workloads and deadlines.
- Significant problem-solving and diagnostic skills with the ability to quickly analyze situations and adopt an effective course of action.
- Ability to handle stressful and sensitive situations in a professional manner.
- Make independent decisions on matters involving established policies and procedures.
Special Considerations:
- Pass a criminal background check.
- Maintain a current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
Salary : $35,500 - $45,000
