Job Summary:
The Insurance Collections Specialist is responsible for administering collection efforts as it relates to job files from day 1 of invoicing. As an Insurance Collections Specialist, you will perform a variety of duties related to accounts receivables, debt collections, and customer service. You will work with other leaders and team members to facilitate customer payment collections; support communication; and generally, make sure the company is achieving their accounts receivable goals. At times, you may engage in invoicing or other tasks related to the coordination of projects based on the company's needs.
Make calls daily and/or correspondence to customers and adjusters to collect balances owed
Work with coordinators, customers, and adjusters to resolve outstanding issues
Update customer files with payment and contact information
Arrange payment plans when necessary
Create and maintain good relationships with partners, vendors, insurance carriers, adjusters, supervisors, co-workers, and customers and provide a WOW experience
Track and record incoming customer payments on your collections tracker
Work closely with Business Manager for all legal matters pertaining to past due customer accounts, attorneys and property liens
Accountable for reducing delinquency of customer accounts
Provide customer service for collection issues, review account adjustments, and resolve client discrepancies
Review invoices from coordinators to ensure collection scope moisture logs, notes and photos support invoice submission for maximum collection.
Identify and inform management of any necessary policies and procedures to standardize, optimize, and increase accuracy and efficiency of revenue cycle processes.
Manage and oversee that accurate information on Google job board including all columns for accurate data reporting
Job Requirements:
Highschool Diploma
Strong problem solving, critical thinking, problem solving, coaching, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
Ability to plan and keep track of multiple projects and deadlines
Ability to effectively present training and/or information, respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, customers, and clients verbally and/or in writing
Proficient with computers and advanced knowledge of microsoft office suite, and basic client management systems
Experienced using Xactimate and XactAnalysis, utilizing reports to improve operations
IICRC industry knowledge
Knowledge of IICRC standards – used to develop common, industry-accepted language and terminology regarding cleaning, inspection and restoration
