Highland Homes, a successful Florida homebuilder, is now hiring a Financial Analyst. This role involves meticulous financial analysis, detailed reporting, and dynamic strategic planning. The position is based at our corporate office in Lakeland, Florida, with regular hours scheduled Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Candidates must live in Central Florida or be willing to relocate to Central Florida for consideration.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assist with analyses and reporting on a weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc basis
- Perform analytical review of financial results against the plan/forecast and before reporting the results to management
- Ability to provide thoughtful explanations for variances against expectations
- Produce monthly packages including trends, variance analysis, and future expectations
- Assist with the preparation of the annual operating budget and monthly forecasts
- Monitor and analyze financial performance to support operational decision-making, and provide insight into trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Communicate with co-workers and management in a courteous, timely and professional manner
- Problem solving and critical thinking
- Other duties, as necessary
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum of 3 years working experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- Experience in Microsoft Access is preferred
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and financial skills
- Detail-oriented and accurate with numbers and data
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Self-motivated, having the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong, efficient communication
- Work ethic
- Job costing experience a plus
