Crisis stabilization services are a first-line alternative to hospitalization in state hospitals, providing psychiatric stabilization and detoxification for adults age 18 and over on a short-term basis. Highland Rivers has three crisis stabilization units (CSUs) and one Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC) that operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as emergency receiving and evaluation facilities. The CSUs are available to residents of all 13 counties Highland Rivers serves.
Highland Rivers Behavioral Health is seeking a Clinical Manager for Crisis Services to serve over 4 locations throughout Northwest Georgia. This position will be based in Bartow County.
Job Responsibilities include:
Management:
Work in collaboration with the Crisis Management Team
Participates in the development, implementation and revision of the agency’s strategic plan for Crisis Services.
Develops, implements and monitors department clinical goals.
Develops protocol necessary for efficient and effective clinical operation of the department.
Participates on the Management Team and assigned committees of the agency.
Provides consultation to agency staff or external sources as needed.
Develops an effective working relationship with stakeholders, community, state and local officials, the general public, employees, peers and supervisor.
Communicates effectively to assure desired outcomes and results.
Human Resources:
Provide competent personnel management and supervision including hiring, evaluating and taking corrective actions with clinical staff
Provides departmental orientation and training.
Supervises all crisis clinical staff to include setting performance expectations, monitoring progress, identifying staff development needs and addressing problems through regularly scheduled staff meetings and individual supervision.
Approves staff work schedules, timesheets, leave requests and secondary employment requests.
Budget / Financial:
Makes recommendations regarding departmental budget needs.
Participates in the development and review of the agency’s annual budget.
Monitors department budget on a continuous basis and makes necessary adjustments.
Ensures department stays within its allocated budget and approves all departmental purchases
Education – Completion of a master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology.
Licensure/Certification – Must be Fully licensed Social worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as per the State of Georgia.
Experience – Five years of full-time program manager or director experience managing a program serving individuals having mental illness and/or a substance use disorder; experience in working and/or managing a behavioral health crisis service.
