Junior Financial Analyst Summary:
The Junior Financial Analyst will be a member of the Finance team reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual that is a motivated self-starter with attention to detail who can perform a variety of functions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis and identify trends
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
- Create standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
- Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
- Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models
- Assist in completion of the annual budget
Skills and Attributes:
- High proficiency in financial modeling techniques
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred (minimum of Associates Degree required)
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication ,writing and problem solving skills
Minimum:
- Associates Degree in Business related field
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
