Job Posting for Nurse Practitioner at Highland Valley Care
Responsible for the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients through collaboration with a designated physician. Must be able to work independently.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Independently assess and treat patients with common acute conditions, illnesses, or minor trauma
Order diagnostic tests as appropriate, prescribe medications within scope of license.
Promote preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, self-care skills, and use of prescribed medical treatments and medications through education and counseling.
Regular attendance to ensure efficient operations
Assess patient information provided from triage, conduct patient exam/procedures, and ultimately execute on treating appropriately to resolve the patient chief complaint.
Perform procedures such as suturing, incision & drainage wound care.
Qualifications
Current certification/license as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practice Nurse.
Ability to learn and utilize Electronic Medical Records system
Ability and willingness to work weekend and holiday work as required
Comfortable seeing patients of all ages.
Projects a positive image and has a “Patients First” attitude
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
