Highland Ventures is a national venture management company focused on strategically developing and operating business subsidiaries centered around its real estate portfolio. A family-owned business, Highland Ventures operates in the real estate and foodservice industries, and continues to grow and add new business ventures. Legacy Commercial Property is our real estate division of the company, consisting of approximately 700 retail properties and 15 office commercial properties.
Role Summary
The Leasing Account Manager will primarily solicit and procure tenants to lease space in Highland Ventures owned portfolio of over 700 properties. The individual should be comfortable and confident in communicating with, and negotiating with, small, mid-size, and large retailers. The Leasing Account Manager has the main function of providing leads on potential new tenants as well as being a point of contact and support for existing tenants.
We are seeking a highly driven individual with outstanding organizational and communication skills and the ability to speak directly to business owners. A passion for national tenant relations is strongly preferred. This candidate must have confidence and persistence to contact the appropriate decision makers and the organization to follow through and execute tenant build outs to ensure timely lease commencement.
Other job duties include
- Working with the President of Real Estate to canvass possible tenants to lease space within a growing portfolio of Highland Ventures-owned properties.
- Assisting in negotiations of lease terms, architectural plans and construction bids.
- Coordinating and submitting necessary documentation for permits.
- Analyzing the existing real estate portfolio to leverage existing opportunities.
- Looking for, and implementing, process improvement opportunities for the leasing and property management teams to enhance sales outcomes

Required education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree from 4-year college or university, preferred
- 5 years of real estate experience preferred
- Familiarity with CoStar, CRM platforms, and/or other related software
- Comprehensive knowledge of lease review and renewal procedures
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to grow and maintain a national tenant portfolio through relationship building and a client-focused approach
Position type and expected hours of work
This is a full-time, on-site position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. The home office is located in Brentwood, TN. No remote opportunities exist at this time.
Travel
Minimal travel expected. Travel to Glenview, IL office expected periodically or other travel as needed.
